Panel Rountable: Inclusive Marketing to Diversity
When: Friday, November 5, 2021 at 6:30 pm Pacific Time
LightMatters is the first, to kick things off with an inclusivity panel. As creatives, by learning the language and needs of LGBTQ+ and minority communities we can create a safe and inviting space for them to be photographed. How do we do that? What language signals we are safe and embracing of their community. So many questions.
This panel has answers. From regular folk to national advisors this panel will share their hearts and experiences to give you insights with approaches.
PPOC’s own Chelsea Jones a Fellowship author on this topic will moderate. We can start by giving our panel a warm and welcoming reception. For some, this is their first time being public.
Session: All You Need Is One Light for Drama
When: Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:15 pm Pacific Time
Using food photography as a guide, learn how to create dramatic images with one light and a modifier that you can apply in almost any area of photography.
The workshop will start off with some study of the great painters from the Baroque and Romanticism eras of art paired with current commercial food photography imagery. Then, you will be walked through a quick live shoot and how to quickly edit in Lightroom to simulate real working conditions of a typical day on set.
You will walk away with techniques and ideas to apply to your photography business today. There will be opportunity for questions during the live shoot and Lightroom portions of the talk, as well as time for questions at the end.
All Weekend: Backstage Talks and Vendors Booth
